Spring Soccer

Alex finished up another season of soccer this Spring.  He had a great season and it is so fun watching him play.  He scored at least one goal in every game but one.  We are sure proud of him!

I could have made a whole collage of Alex yawning.  Apparently the ten or eleven o'clock games were too much for him.

Mia made this face at us for a really long time one game.  We were cracking up at her and she didn't move a muscle.  It was pretty funny.

We had such a fun team and coach this year.  We can't wait until next fall!

Alex Turns 6!

I can hardly believe it but our little buddy is six years old!  We had a great weekend celebrating Alex.  He is crazy, fun, smart, sweet and we couldn't love him more.

This year he requested a Goosebumps party.  It was kind of random but Brandon made an amazing cake as usual.  Brandon made a Slappy (Alex's favorite/most feared character) entirely out of fondant.  It was very cool and Alex loved it!

We celebrated first with a family party on Saturday.  We ate pizza and nachos as requested by Alex.

As it seems to every year, it was rainy on the day of his party.  So, we had to do the pinata in our basement instead.  The kids still loved it.

Crazy candy frenzy!

Here we are singing to Alex.  I love his facial expressions.  The cake was starting to melt above the candles and it was making him nervous.  Luckily we finished singing just in time.

Alex was super excited to eat Slappy.  It left his tongue nice and black.

I'm pretty sure Mia thought everyone was there to see her.  She had a grand time soaking up all the attention.

Alex thought it was hilarious to scare everyone with his new toy spider.

On his actual birthday we got to celebrate with just our family.  Alex was off track so he didn't even have to bother with school.  Luckily, he slept in and then we opened presents.

For one of his presents, Alex got Minecraft on the computer.  He quickly tested it out.

We told Alex he could do any activity he wanted for his birthday and he chose the Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point.  We spent most of the day there and both Alex and Mia had a ton of fun.

Brandon had fun too.

Finally, we ended the day with some delicious food at the Asian Star.  It was a great day!

Happy Birthday Alex!
