July

July was another fun month that went way too quickly.  Mia took some swimming lessons this month.

Ripley got a little bigger this month and just a little less crazy.  We sure love her though!

She even took some training classes which has helped a lot!

At the beginning of the month we celebrated Mia's birthday. I can't believe she is 11!

Her favorite presents might be a tie between a Labubu and a phone.

As a birthday activity she wanted to go shopping with just me.  It is always so much fun to shop with Mia.  She is very passionate about what she likes and doesn't like.

For dinner she chose Huhot of course!

Alex has always wanted to go to see Dude Perfect and so we got tickets this year.  He loved it!

Another 4th of July filled with traditions.  We helped host again our 4th of July pancake breakfast in front of our house.  We had a pretty good turnout and the weather was beautiful.

The night before Mia's friend Penny had slept over so she got to enjoy the breakfast as well.

More patriotic pictures!

After games and food for Grandma's birthday we went to see fireworks.  We were anxious to see how Ripley would do with the fireworks but she didn't mind them at all.  She didn't really seem to notice them.

The next Sunday we held Mia's family birthday party.  She decided on an Alice in Wonderland theme.  It turned out really cute and of course Brandon labored over another amazing cake.

We also got to attend another Cul-de-sac of fire this year.  We even got to actually do fireworks this year which was exciting!

On the 24th of July we did a few fireworks of our own.  It made me very nervous but no one was hurt in the process!

One day this summer Mia and a few of her friends spent a long afternoon at the pool.  They had a ton of fun and I got burned.

We also took another Hettinger Family trip to the zoo this month. We made the very smart choice of getting there right when it opened.  Even though we didn't love getting up early it made the first few hours we were there very nice.  It wasn't too hot or crowded and the animals were much more active than normal.

I'm sad that the polar bear isn't out.

We decided to make the trek back down to the polar bear before we left and were excited to see he was out and swimming now.

Besides playing a ton of football Alex also spent a week at FSY this month.  He went with his friend Asher to BYU.  I never get many details but he said they had a great time but the food is not very good at BYU.

It was a great month!
