June was a great and crazy month. At the beginning of the month we finally finished up the school year. This meant the end of elementary school for Mia. Of course I had to document.
A few times during the month Mia did some chalk art at our house. She is so talented, I had to document it.
Two days after school got out it was time to head to Hawaii. We have been planning this trip with Brandon's family for a few years so it was crazy that it was finally here. We started off with a bit of a rough start. Our flight was delayed all day and then finally cancelled. They were able to get us on another flight that night but sent us first to Detroit. We then had a four hour layover before heading back to Hawaii on a nine hour flight. It was a very long day but we go there!
We had to document Mia's cute nails she did for Hawaii.
And a few cockroaches.
We also got to tour the Missouri. It was also very cool.
We had to trek to find food so we didn't lose our parking spots.
Ripley was lucky enough to go stay with Gus and Indy while we were go. She had lots of fun and it was so nice to know that she was well taken care of.
The next day we were able to go to the temple. The kids were able to do baptisms. Alex and Mikah were able to baptism all of them. It was a very cool temple and a very cool experience.
Once we got to Hawaii Brandon went to a grocery store to stock up on some food. He was shocked at the prices. A box of cereal was 17.00. Luckily we discovered that other grocery stores, including Costco and Walmart were much cheaper.
The next day we headed off to do some parasailing. I was so worried that the weather was going to make us cancel but we were able to do it! We all loved it and had so much fun.
This picture isn't great but the view from our hotel was very cool. It was right on the ocean. It was more like a condo with a kitchen and washer and dryer which was very nice.
The next day most of us were able to ride bikes down a volcano. Mia wasn't quite tall enough. We had a lot of fun.
Later in the day we headed to the beach again. The boys were excited to try boogie boarding. Unfortunately we chose a bad spot and everyone started getting cut from the coral. Alex got cut pretty bad on his feet and legs.
Beautiful views from the island.
Finally, we finished up the night with shopping and a delicious dinner at Whaler's Village.
