July

We packed a ton of fun into July.  We have to take advantage of the only three weeks that Alex has off of school.  It was a great month!

I'm not sure what video they are watching but it must have been good.

We had a fun 4th of July party with some neighbors.

We also got our swimming pool out and kept it out while Alex was off track.  It got lots of use with friends and cousins.

We also ate outside a lot and took advantage of the fire pit a few times.

Free Slurpee day! The kids both tried Captain Crunch flavor.  It was pretty gross but they liked it!

Mia has the cutest primary teachers and always brings home cute handouts.  I loved this one she came up with for Alex.

Mia and her cute friend Megan.

Our street has started the tradition of having a breakfast on the morning of the Fourth of July.  We make pancakes and everyone brings sides.  It is a lot of fun.

We spent the day playing games, eating lots of yummy food and watching the Murray fireworks at the end of the night.

It was a successful night!

All of my family went to a Bee's game this month.  Once again Mia wanted to pose with any character she sees.

This month Alex took some golf lessons with some neighborhood friends.  He really liked it.

Another first this month was Alex's first time at Cub Scout Camp.  To say he loved it would be an understatement.  Brandon went with him so we got lots of pictures of all the fun.

Like all the boys Alex came home completely filthy.  I carried him to the bathroom and we made him take a shower right away.  Proof of a good time!

We also spent a day with cousins seeing the Pioneer Day floats.

The girls loved meeting "the princesses".

Our stake made a float this year.  It was pretty cool!

While Brandon had a day off we took the kids to the Bluffdale splash pad.  It was lots of fun!

Followed by a shaved ice at our favorite place.

We ended the day by having a sleepover in the basement.

Mia was so tired from partying so late she slept in well past ten the next morning.

One Saturday we went with the Clements side of the family to the Demolition Derby.  First we had a BBQ in the coolest backyard ever.  It had zip line, a tramp and a tree house.  Our kids were ready to move in.

At the Derby Mia took some awesome selfies with me.

One of my favorite July traditions is the Cul-de-sac of Fire at the Everitt's house.  This year it was a fiesta theme in honor of Jaden's mission.  It was delicious and tons of fun!

Finally at the end of the month Alex headed right back to school, this time as a third grader.  I can't believe he is so old! He was pretty excited though and has enjoyed his classes so far.

Mia who had just rolled out of bed did not want to be left out of the pictures.

After the first day we went with a few neighbors and got a treat to celebrate!

We also got an early birthday present this month, an outdoor projector.  We were excited to try it out. It was a ton of fun and I hope it is the first of many outdoor movie nights.

Mia Turns Four

Our sweet Mia turned four this month.  She loved being the center of attention and having all her family over to celebrate.

She decided on a Winnie the Pooh themed birthday party.

Brandon made another great cake!

She had some pretty great reactions to her presents.  She was very excited by everything.

On her actual birthday Alex was still in school.  We got Mia up early to open presents before he had to leave.  She was a little sleepy but still excited to open some presents.

Her last present led her on a scavenger hunt around the house.

At the end she found a new glider bike.  She loves it!

Later in the day we checked Alex out of school so they could attend their first swimming lesson of the summer.

After a quick lunch at Wendy's we sent poor Alex back to school.

After school we let Mia choose whatever she wanted to do.  She wanted to eat McDonalds and play at the park.

It was a great weekend.  We sure love our Mia bug!
