February

February was a snowy, cold but fun month.  Alex spent most of the month off track so we tried to do lots of fun things.

We went with some friends to try Dave and Busters.  It was a lot of fun!  Brandon tried out the virtual reality game.

Early in the month we went with Brandon's family to the Ice Castles in Midway.  First, we stopped at the Dairy Keen for dinner.

The Ice Castles were very cool all lit up at night.  It was pretty busy but the kids had a lot of fun!

We got so much snow this month.  One of the days it snowed so much that they even cancelled school.  It was awesome because I got to cancel preschool too but Alex was already off track so it wasn't as cool for him.  Brandon didn't go to work so we had a good time hunkering in for the day.

The next day I took the kids sledding.  It was almost too powdery to sled but it was fun!

Also, this month Brandon and Alex went ice fishing up in Logan with Trevor, Mikah and Max.  Alex had so much fun!

Proof of the good time he had!

We celebrated a great Valentines Day this month.  Brandon nailed it with donuts, clothes, flowers and even an amazing homemade card.

The kids and I spent the day at High Jump having a lot of fun!

A few days later Brandon and I went out to eat to celebrate.  We had to document our booth at the Cheesecake Factory.  It was the only time we haven't been squished up against someone else there.

Alex's last Blue and Gold Banquet was this month. They did a carnival.  Our kids thought it was very cool!

Alex and Mia wanted to do one more fun thing before Alex went back on track so we headed downtown to Discovery Gateway.  They loved it!

At the end of the month Alex and Brandon went with friends to a Jazz game for Jr. Jazz.  They even won!

January

January was a fun month but we are okay that it is over!  Here are some of the highlights of the month.

On New Years Day we went to see Mary Poppins Returns with Brandon's family.  It was a cute movie.  Also, Mia can never resist a photo opportunity.

Alex got to attend his good friend Carter's baptism.  It was so neat to see!

Dress rehearsal day for Mia's dance performance.  She loves putting on her costume and going to dance!

I've had this time capsule with me since I was 16 years old.  We made them in Young Women's.  I was supposed to open it in 2015 but finally got around to it this month.  Spoiler alert ... it was full of junk!  Ha! Apparently we just cut out a lot of things from magazines.  It also held my drivers ed manual, some letters and an old softball.  It was pretty funny!

Mia channeling her inner dinosaur at Jaryn's birthday party.

I'm not sure what she's channeling here.

Brandon was able to get us tickets to an early screening of the The Lego Movie 2.  It was a lot of fun.

Early in the month we held our annual Primary Meet and Greet.  The kids got to meet their new teachers and play some games.  We also had an ice cream sundae bar.  It went great but I'm so glad it's over!

Of course Brandon got to help!

Also, this month was Mia's winter dance performance.  She did an awesome job!

Mia has loved being in Delilah's dance class!

We also finally made it out sledding this month.  We went on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  It snowed a ton and was still snowing while we went.  The snow was so soft but we still had a lot of fun!
