April

April was a busy fun month.  The kids started spring sports and we finally got in some skiing.  It was a fun month!

This month we had a field trip for preschool.  We went to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum.  It was crazy and busy but the kids had a lot of fun.

This month Alex got to present in the 3rd Grade Wax Museum.  He chose to be Babe Ruth.  He had to do a report on him and pretend to be him at the Museum.  He did a great job!

At the end of the month we got to go with Bayley to see End Game.  It was very good.

This month we went up to Logan to celebrate Kenzie's birthday.  It was a Unicorn party so Mia loved it.  At the end she even got to go for a ride on the 4 wheeler.  She liked the ride but did not like the helmet.

It took us until April to finally make it up skiing this year.  Luckily there was still a lot of good snow up there.  We took Mia skiing for the first time.  She did pretty good for her first time but was glad when we were done. She's been asking to go again though.

While the kids were in lessons Brandon and I snuck off to do a few longer runs.  My legs weren't in great skiing shape so I paid for it later!

A few weeks later Alex and Brandon went up to the mountain one more time.  This day was very hot and the snow was getting pretty slushy but they had a great time!

We loved celebrating Easter this year.  I thought that since Easter was so late in the year we would have good weather but that was not the case.  The week before we had our Ward Easter Egg Hunt and there was a thin layer of snow on the ground.  Luckily the day wasn't too cold and the wind wasn't blowing so it wasn't too bad.

The kids waiting for the Candy Cannon.  This was our third year being in charge of this activity as a primary presidency.  It was another successful year but I hope it is my last!

The next week we had a hunt and decorated eggs at Grandma Hettinger's house.  It was a great time as usual.

Easter morning we were excited to see that the Easter Bunny had arrived! The kids found eggs and their Easter baskets around the house.

After church on Easter we tried to get a family picture.  This was the best we got out of Mia.  She was over it!

Finally that afternoon we celebrated again at Grandma Clements house.  This was the first year I can remember that the weather didn't cooperate and we weren't able to have a hunt outside.  We still had a good time though.

March

March was a busy month that went very quickly.  I'm not sure what we did though because we didn't take very many pictures. But here are a few...

Both Mia and Alex love to help in the kitchen.

They also both love to make us take pictures of things they think are cool while eating.  Apparently this chip and grape were picture worthy.  I have tons of these pictures on my phone.

I can hardly believe it but we took Mia to Kindergarten orientation this month. She is very excited to start!

On one of the few good weather days this month Mia and her friend Ari rode bikes around the neighborhood.  Ari is far ahead in the distance.

We had super hero day at preschool.  It was so fun!

Sadly this is the only picture I took at Mikah and Max's birthday party.

I'm not sure what is happening here but I am sure it needs to be documented.

We had a fun park day with some friends.  It was spring break for some schools so it was a very busy day at the park.

Mindi took our preschool pictures again this year and again they turned out so cute!

This month we took the kids to Disney on Ice. Mia loved it ...

Alex was excited about the snow cone.

Apparently this is the only picture I took on St. Patricks Day.  This year it was on a Sunday.  I was in the kitchen doing Mia's hair when out came Brandon and said he was ready for church.  I laughed so hard but sadly he really changed before going to church.

After her cousins got their ears pierced this month Mia decided she wanted to too and wouldn't stop bugging me until we finally took her to Grandpa's to get it done.  This is the before picture...

and the after.  She was not happy but settled down pretty quickly.  She also loved going to the store to pick out earrings that she will get to wear in six weeks.

Here is the video of the first ear.  She held it together for just a second and then burst into tears.
