Last week Alex took his first ever field trip with his preschool. They went to Gardner Village and went on a witch hunt. It was a lot of fun!

Fall Soccer
After having so much fun the first time Alex decided to play soccer again this fall. It was even better this time because he got to be on the same team as Wilson. Even though most games were too cold for our liking it was a great season. Overall, Alex was much more aggressive and even scored a goal with the help of some teammates. (He also scored several goals for the wrong team).
Alex's team was black and the very first game we were scheduled to play another team that was also black (which was very confusing for 3 year olds at their first game). So instead they decided to go shirts and skins and Alex's team got to be skins. Apparently a shirt has been holding Alex back because as soon as it came off he went a little crazy. It was very entertaining! Sadly my camera battery died right before the game but luckily Grandpa got some great pictures.
Alex and another little boy kept chest bumping each other.
Such a show-off.
Every game Alex had so many people come watch him. Mikah and Max even braved the coldest game. Thanks everybody!
Not sure what is happening here...

Disneyland!
The last week of September the whole Hettinger clan took a trip to Disneyland. We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again.
Mickey pancakes in anticipation of our trip.
On the airplane.
Our hotel was so close to Disneyland. It was just a short walk away.
Exploring the first day.
We can use this one as blackmail later.
The Lego store was a highlight!
Upon walking into the park we happened to be standing where Mickey came out and we were able to quickly grab a picture with him. It happened so fast Alex was a little nervous. He warmed up to the characters after that.
Waiting for Jedi training. We were so happy both Wilson and Alex got picked to participate. It was so fun!
We loved going to car's land for the first time.
Alex at the hotel after a long day of fun.
And some hilarious ride pictures...
Before the trip we knew Alex was just barely below 40 inches and would not be able to go on many of the rides. Brandon decided to buy him lifts and tall shoes to ensure he got to go on all the big rides. It was pretty hilarious stuffing the lifts into his shoes before the tall rides. He couldn't walk very well in them but it worked. It was so fun to take him on all the big rides. Most of them he liked but wasn't in a hurry to do them again.
Splash Mountain
Space Mountain
The Tower of Terror
Space Mountain...again.
We boarded Boo for the first time while we were gone. It turned out to be pretty rough on her. She was so happy when we went to pick her up.
It was so fun that all of our family was able to go on this vacation. That hasn't happened in a long time. Hopefully it won't be too long before we do it again.
