May

 May was a crazy busy but fun month.  It is easily our busiest month of the year.  Even though it was a lot of fun I am glad it is over! 

Mia had one more dance competition to end the season.  I loved watching her perform throughout the spring.  It has been so fun to see her progress as a dancer and watch her do something she loves.  She made lots of friends and had a lot of fun.  Her dances always did really well even though I still don't really understand cance scoring.

More science experiments. 

I can't get them to load the right way but I found this note in Mia's backpack one day.  She did deliver it to him the next day.

Alex made this at school.  I thought it was very cool! 

Mia had so much fun at her friend's birthday party.  We thought this sloth was hilarious and her friend ended up loving it.  Mia also drew her this cute card to go with it. 

One day I checked Alex out of school and we went out to lunch.  It was a lot of fun!  He is the best kid! 

At the end of th month I held my preschool end of year graduation program.  We had to have it in our basement since libraries weren't allowing that many people to gather in them yet.  It was a little cramped but work okay.  I loved this class and will be sad to see them go!

The most important part of the month was celebrating Alex's birthday.  It pretty much lasted the whole month.  One Sunday he got to pick the dinner at Grandma's and sit in the special seat at the head of the table.  

He also chose Pizza Pie Cafe for his special birthday dinner. 

Instead of a traditional birthday party this year Alex wanted to take some friends to Lagoon with him.  Brandon took one for the team and took Alex and three of his friends for the day.  It ended up being a crazy busy day.  I was so worried they wouldn't have a ton of fun since they had to wait in a lot of lines but they had lots of fun and fit in quite a few rides.  They stayed until closing and loved it!

We also got these t-shirts for the boys.  They were pretty funny!

Mia and I stayed home and had tea parties. 

For the first time since the day he was born Alex's birthday fell on Mother's Day.  We still tried to make it special for him and started off the day opening his presents.  

And finally the next week we had a family birthday party for Alex.  He wanted an outer space cake. Brandon did a great job! 

It was a great day and party to celebrate this great kid!

I also got spoiled on mothers day and it was our 14th wedding anniversary as well.  We joked that Mia was the only one that didn't get a present that day.  

I'm so lucky to be their mom!

Alex had a piano recital this month.  He played "Piano Man" by Billy Joel.  He did a great job.  I especially loved listening to him practice this one.  

Indy came to stay with us this month.  Bayley got a new puppy but can't have him at her apartment until he is six months old so he gets to stay with us for the summer.  The kids have been loving having a puppy around.  Boo mostly doesn't mind him as well.  

Finally, at the end of the month we got to meet our new neice and cousin, Devyn.  She is super cute and the kids love holding her.  

What a great month!
