November

November was a great month.  I didn't take very many photos but with the kids off track we got to do lots of different activities and have a lot of fun.

The kids got to celebrate Halloween for one more day on November 1st.  The had their school parade and class parties.  Brandon and I got to help out at Mia's party.  It was so fun!

 Mia just being Mia.

After three years I was released this month as our Ward's Primary President.  It was a hard three years.  Luckily I had a lot of help from really awesome counselors and especially from Brandon.  I will really miss being in primary but I am glad to be done with the responsibility!

We put up our tree and started on the Christmas movies at the end of the month.  We are usually pretty strict about waiting until after Thanksgiving but it is just too late in the month this year.  We couldn't wait any longer!

We got to see Frozen 2 this month.  Mia was excited to dress up for the occasion.  She seemed a little bored in the movie.  She had to go to the bathroom twice which is a sure sign she was bored but she said she liked it.

Being off track these two got to spend a lot of time together this month.  I love how well they get along!

On one of our off track days we went to Altitude to jump around.  The kids love this place!

Alex had his last Scout activity this month.  He has loved scouts so much, I'm sad to see it end for his sake.  He even earned his Bear early.  We are so proud of him!

After the first big snow storm this month Mia was so excited to play in the snow and really wanted to build a snowman.

She was a little disappointed that we didn't have better snowman making supplies but I thought ours turned out pretty great.  Not long after we finished though it started snowing again and our snowman was mostly buried.

I'm always really bad at taking pictures on Thanksgiving.  This was the only picture I took.  Mia randomly decided to make a list of all the things she is thankful for.  I loved that she did this.  We were glad Alex made the list.

On Thanksgiving weekend we had Mikah, Max and Kenzie stay at our house.  They played in the snow, played lots of games, watched movies and ate lots of treats.

We also took a trip to the Nickelcade.  I didn't get any pictures of the boys because they were running around too fast but it was a lot of fun.  It only took us about an hour to for them all to spend their tickets and pick out their prizes.

Finally, on the last night of the month we heard a knock at the door and found a package.  It turned out to be our elf, Buddy.  He brought some Christmas pajamas and an advent calendar for each of the kids.  They were so excited.  It is a great way to kick of the Christmas season.

October

As usual October was a fun, crazy, busy month.  It was a great one!

Early in the month we got back the kids school photos.  They turned out great!

Alex is doing his best Hawkeye impression.

Hat day at school.

We loved listening to conference this year.  The kids loved staying in their pajamas and playing toys all day.

Sometimes Mia likes to play school in my preschool room.  I thought this set up with her dolls was pretty cute.

Mia spends at least part of every day doing something artistic.  Usually our table is covered with papers, crayons, markers or paints.

I picked the coldest day of the season so far to have a field trip with my preschool class.  We braved the cold and visited Wheeler Farm.  It turned out to be a lot of fun even though it was so cold!

Alex got to visit a fire station for scouts.  He had a great time!

We spent a few days this month completing Brandon's puzzle.

Mia with her cute dance class.

Mia was picked by her teacher to be recognized this month.  She was chosen in the "organized" category.  She must be my child.

Despite a lot of cold days this month there were a few good ones.

We made it out to Gardner Village to see the witches again.  The kids love completing the scavenger hunt and earning their cookie.

We also checked going to a pumpkin patch off our October bucket list.  We went with some neighbors which made it extra fun!

This month was Alex's first and probably last Pinewood Derby.  Uncle Trevor and Brandon helped him make his car.  He wanted it to be simple and went for a plain, sleek design.  He loved doing it and even got 5th place overall.

We also held our annual Halloween party this month.  It was fun as usual.

Wilson's costume was a hit.  I loved taking his picture doing ordinary things in his costume.

Captain Marvels!

We also played another Halloween Scene It game.

I can't remember what clip this was but Mia was a little disturbed by it.

Later in the month the kids showed their costumes off at Grandma's house.  What cute Captain Marvels!

We also attended our Ward's Trunk or Treat.  There wasn't a huge turnout so our kids circled around a few times and got tons of candy!

Luckily we chose a day with beautiful weather to visit Cornbelly's this year.  This is one of our kids favorite activities that we do all year long.  They love it!

Alex just being a creeper.

Brandon just pulling a tractor.

With the Clements side of the family we went to Boo at the Zoo again this year.  Despite the very colds temps it was a lot of fun.

It was fun to see the animals up and so active.

I celebrated my birthday this month.  I was very spoiled and had a lot of fun.

We also got to celebrate Zayne's birthday.  He turned 2 this month.

We also spent an evening carving pumpkins as usual.  This year was extra difficult because we didn't realize the pumpkins were completely frozen solid. Brandon thought putting them in a warm bath would thaw them out.  It sort of worked but also water logged the pumpkins which made them very difficult to carve.  Despite all this the pumpkins turned out great!

Alex did his all on his own again.

Halloween day was a lot of fun.  We were very worried it was going to be very cold but it turned out not too bad.  We took just a few pictures of them in their cute costumes.

Alex was a little stiff at first and then really got into it.

And then they just started battling in the yard.

Brandon took Mia trick or treating with some friends. Our neighbor organized a group of boys to go trick or treating together by themselves.  They were very excited and had so much fun!

Mia was just a little tired by the end of the night!  What a great Halloween!
