March

March was a crazy busy but very fun month!  We decided a few weeks before that we wanted to go to Disneyland one more time before they close down Splash Mountain (even though we don't know when that will be yet).  This was our first time driving with our kids and since we were limited on time we wanted to do it all in one day.  The drive ended up not being bad at all except for the traffic we hit in California.  On the way we stopped at Eddie World for the first time.  We got a late lunch there and looked at all the fun toys and candy.

After we finally made it to Disneyland we went straight to Downtown Disney. We shopped and ate at Black Tap Diner.  The kids were very excited for the giant shakes!

The next morning we made it to Disneyland before opening.  It has been three years since we have been to Disneyland so we were very excited to be back.  It felt much less busy than Disney World which was also nice.

I usually get one normal picture with them and then one where at least one of them is making a crazy face.

This was also the first time we have been to Disneyland with just the four of us which is crazy.  Mia did ask when we could go again with cousins though.

They can't control their excitement before rope drop.

Our first stop was Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.  This is one of my favorite rides at Disney World so we were excited to try it here.  It was even cuter in Disneyland!

Mia also got to go on Matterhorn for the first time. She mostly liked it but was a little nervous about the Yeti.

Believe it or not Space Mountain is one of Mia's favorite rides even though she looks real bored in this picture.  We love the Disneyland version so much better than Disney World.

Friday was one of the most beautiful days we have ever been at Disneyland.  It felt warm but never hot and it didn't feel very crowded at all.

There is truly nothing better than eating a Cinnamon roll at the Jolly Holiday while the baby ducks come to visit.

Mia's favorite is Big Thunder Mountain!

Time for breakfast number two! We had two days in Disneyland so we had to fit a lot in those days especially food wise.  I had to have a breakfast Ronto wrap.  They are my favorite!

Finally it was time for the main event!  We ended up going on Splash Mountain six times in two days.  It was awesome.  We took a ton of pictures and we laughed and had so much fun every time.  I will miss it so much!

Always weird until I force them to be normal.

We fit in lots of treats!

We pretty much had to drag Mia onto Guardians of the Galaxy. She really didn't want to go but we wanted her to try it once.  She cried before and cried after.

After that she was determined not to go on the Incredicoaster even though she was just barely tall enough.  I didn't want to put her through that again so we took turns going on it with Alex.

We loved going to Avenger's Campus for the first time and eating at Pym's Kitchen.  We thought it was a lot of fun and yummy!

We ended the night by going on Splash Mountain three times in a row while there was no line.  It was so much fun!

It had been a very long day and it was catching up to Mia.  She was a trooper though!

The next morning we did it all over again.  This time starting in California Adventure.  Saturday was definitely a colder day.  We weren't miserable but it was weird to be wearing coats, hats, and gloves at Disneyland.  Luckily it never rained.

Back again!

This was the only picture I got but Mia's tumbling teacher also happened to be in Disneyland the same day we were.  We met up for a ride and she bought Mia a churro.  It was so nice and Mia was so excited!

Once again we ended the night on Splash Mountain.  Mia was tired of it so just Alex and I braved the cold and rode again.  We were pretty proud of our picture.  It was one of the best trips ever.  It was kind of nice that it took virtually no planning and we just got in our car and went.  We packed so much into two days and had so much fun.  We will definitely be doing it again.

The next morning we woke up as early as we could to start the drive home.  To say the kids were tired was an understatement.  They were so great though and never complained.

It helped that they could get right in the car and go right back to sleep.

We made amazing time home and the only stop we made besides gas a few times was at pink box for donuts.  They did not disappoint!

We had so much fun but getting up for school the next morning was rough!

Boo being Boo.

Mia getting into self care.  She looked really awesome doing this facemask.

Mia also made pants for her penguin one day and thought it was very funny.

One day this month Brandon made pancakes and put teeny tiny ones on all of our plates.  The kids thought it was very funny!

Mia did a lot of dance this month including finally performing her first ever solo.  She is doing a Genie themed dance to Genie in a Bottle and Magic.  I was so impressed at how brave she was.  This was a very big competition in front of  judges.  She crushed it!

Ready to go on!

The only hard part was that she was one of the first to go on so we had to wait a long time before they did awards.  Luckily Mia's good friend Scarlet was there too and they had tons of fun running around together.

Afterward we stopped for lunch on the way home and Mia got to choose.  She chose Huhot of course!

The next day we went back up to Ogden for the rest of the convention and competition.

Saturday morning we had a 6:00 am call time so that the girls could perform at 7:00 am.  Luckily we stayed in the convention hotel but we still had to set our alarms for 4:00 am.

After competing so early the girls followed it up by taking even more classes.  Mia has been loving it though!

Later that night we attempted to watch a movie with the boys. We didn't last long.

In school this month Mia has been working on her Wax Museum report.  She decided to be Cleopatra. Here is the finished product of her poster.  She did most of it herself including all the typing. She did a great job!

We got to go to school to see Mia in the wax museum.  When you stepped on the button in front of her she had to tell you all about Cleopatra.  She memorized a lot of facts about Cleopatra and did a great job presenting them and staying in character.

This month we also celebrated St. Patrick's day.  Mia remembered at the last minute to make a leprechaun trap.  It was a pretty great trap but unfortunately she didn't catch him this year.

Instead the leprechaun left them some chocolate gold and some clues that led them around the house and finally to a basket with some green treats in it.

Later in the month Mia got to compete her solo a second time.  She performed even better this time and ended up getting second place in her category.  She has always dreamed of getting a dance trophy.  Usually with team competitions they only get pins or jewelry.  Her dreams finally came true this time!

Her teammate Della was also at the competition.

So excited to get her award!

At the end of the month we had a much needed break of school with spring break.  Brandon even took the week off of work.  We didn't have too many plans but it was still a busy fun week.  It was still the eternal winter so we did a few fun inside activities.

One day we went to Airborne and the kids jumped for a few hours.

The next day we spent at the Rush Fun complex.  We did lots of fun activities!

Later that day we stopped in at Nickel Mania to play some arcade games.  Our kids mostly want to play games that will earn them the most tickets so they can get a crappy prize.

We ended the long day by seeing Kazaam 2.  It was a so nice to have some time to slow down with the kids.  Hopefully one day this winter will finally end but at least we had a lot of fun this month!
