October

October was another whirl wind month packed full of fun! Here are the highlights!

The first weekend of the month was one of my favorites, conference weekend.  We made delicious crepes and enjoyed watching the messages from our leaders.

At the beginning of the month it was Red Ribbon Week at school.  Every day had a fun theme.  One day was crazy sock and walk to school day.

Another day was crazy hair/hat day.

At the beginning of the month I also got to take my preschool class on a fieldtrip to Wheeler Farm.  We lucked out with the most beautiful weather.  It was a lot of fun!

We also got to see our sweet neighbor and Mia's friend Ari get baptized this month.

There is lots of puppy energy at Grandma's house every week now.

Brandon did this to make Mia mad one night.  It worked!

We finally bought Brandon a long over due new car this month.  He doesn't get to pick it up until November though.  They had him ring a bell when we bought it which he was thrilled about.

We had our semi-annual game night at Sarah, Jen and Bayley's house just a few weeks late this month.  This was the only picture I took but it was a lot of fun and the kids love sleeping over!

At the end of the month we had a Halloween party at preschool.  It is my favorite preschool day.

I dressed up like a warewolf this year but my kids thought I was a bunny.

Running in October is my favorite.  The leaves seemed to be especially beautiful this year.

At the beginning of the month Mia got to attend her first dance conference called EPIC.  It was two days of dancing up in Layton and we stayed in a hotel with Elsie, Mindi, Angie, Jessica and Sadie.  After the first night she went swimming.  She started out by herself in our own hotel pool but then we met up with some of her team at their hotel for more swimming.

I got to sit and watch the last bit of the conference.  It is so fun to watch her dance, especially hip hop.  She really gets into it!

I was excited my kids still want to do the tradtional holiday things with me.  We didn't have a chance to go with Brandon but the three of us found the witches at Gardner Village and then got a treat at the end.

One of my kids most anticipated days of the year every year is going to Cornbellys.  We had beautiful weather again this year and we even got to do a few activities with the Peterson's.  We spent the whole day there and had a lot of fun!

The next day we held our annual Halloween party.  We ate hamburgers, played games and even had a blind candy taste test.

Best costume was Wilson dressed as Scott.  He nailed it!

We also attended our Ward's Trunk or Treat this year.  It was especially exciting because Alex won best overall costume.

Cruella was a big costume this year.  We saw lots of them! Two of Mia's best friends were even it.

At the end of the month we celebrated my birthday.

On my birthday we got to go to the kid's school and watch the Halloween parade.

Brandon and I were also able to help in Alex's class party.  I was excited to be able to help since it is his last year in elementary.  They had a glow in the dark party.  It was pretty cool!

On Saturday we carved our pumpkins.  Alex cleaned out and carved his all on his own.  Mia refused to even touch the inside of her pumpkin but she did help carve hers.  They all turned out great!

Alien - Alex, Cruella - Rachel, Goblin King - Brandon, Unicorn - Mia

Halloween Night! (Well sort of.) Since Halloween was a on a Sunday this year we went trick or treating on Saturday night instead.  I wish we could do that every year!

Mia was the kid version of Cruella de Vil from the new movie.

Alex was the Mandolorian and played the part very well!

Early in the day we did the trick or treating rounds.

Alex had a few friends tag along trick or treating with him so they joined us for dinner as well.

It was the most beautiful and warm night!

More Cruellas!

On Sunday, on actual Halloween we made a fancy dinner and passed out candy to trick or treaters.  It was lots of fun!

We also had to hurry and finish Harry Potter with Mia so she would be ready to visit Harry Potter World next week.  We finished just in time.

Earlier in the month the kids got their school pictures taken.  They are cute as ever!
