October

This month was busy and stressful but still a lot of fun.  October is the best! We started out the month with one of my favorite weekends of the year, General Conference.  The kids had fun building Legos while listening.

Love catching them playing.

I may have a bad habit of buying Mia clothes that I would wear myself which means we often end up matching.  I usually don't even realize it until Brandon points it out.

Crazy hair day! Alex wanted half red and half green.  He couldn't even ride his bike to school so he wouldn't mess it up with his helmet.

One day I opened my front door and there was a black widow waiting to greet me.  The first time I opened it, it was hanging by a thread right in the middle of the doorway.  Luckily, I was able to successfully kill it by throwing a shoe at it and then stomping on it.

This month I took my preschool on a field trip to Wheeler Farm.  It was a lot of fun!

One weekend this month Brandon took Mia to see the My Little Pony movie.  Claire and Jeff went to.  Mia seemed to really like it.

As per tradition we made a visit to a pumpkin patch this month.  This time we went to a new patch with some neighborhood friends.  Our kids loved it!

We tried to get all the kids in a picture which was pretty tricky.

Afterwards we went to Leatherby's for some delicious ice cream.

Also, this month I got to go with Mia to her field trip with her other preschool to see the witches at Gardner Village.  We had a great time!

We also held our annual family Halloween party again this year.  We ate soup and treats and played games.  It was a lot of fun!

Brandon thought it was hilarious to photo bomb everyone.

We also made sure to take a second trip to Gardner Village so Alex could find the witches too.

This month was extra special because our kids got a new cousin named Zayne.  To say they are obsessed with him would be an understatement.  Alex was especially smitten.  He could have held him the rest of the night.

I got to do lots of celebrating for my birthday this month.

On my birthday we also had our Primary Program.  This made the day extra stressful but it all went well and I am glad to have it done.  Afterward we treated the kids to a movie and popcorn which was a lot of fun.

Also, this month we went to Cornbelly's.  This is the kids favorite tradition of the month.  It was fun this month because Mia could do almost everything.

Alex did the zip-line for the first time this year and loved it.

Mia had a lot of different opportunities to wear her costume this month and have Halloween parties.  She got to wear it to both dance and tumbling.

Alex's school had the usual Halloween parade.  Luckily Brandon was able to be there.

Our ward also had a trunk or treat and Chili cook-off. It was a lot of fun!

The day before Halloween I had a lot of fun with my preschool kids.  We dressed up and had a party and even sang a few songs for the parents.  Holidays are especially fun with the preschool!

We finally made time to carve some pumpkins.  Alex did a Captain America one almost completely on his own. He is getting really good at it.

Mia was not a fan of any part of the process.

On Halloween morning Mia got to attend one more Halloween party at Miss Joey's preschool.  Mia loved sitting by Chewbacca.  She was fascinated by him and kept touching his fur.

On Halloween I took just a few more pictures.  It was such a great year!

Both Mia and Alex had a lot of fun Trick or Treating and Alex got a record number of candy (that he won't eat) this year!
