Spring Baseball

Baseball seemed to take over our lives for a few months this spring.  Alex had a great season though and helped his team to a second place finish.

Alex played catcher most this year.  He always works really hard and does a great job. He also had an awesome year at bat.  I think he got a hit almost every game.  He even got a grand slam to help his team win a playoff game.

Alex has never really pitched before but the last week of the season they needed him to pitch.  The pitchers are limited on how many pitches they can throw a week and we were out of pitchers.  The first game Alex pitched he got three quick outs and they won the game. They next time didn't go as well but he still helped his team to victory.  It was fun to see him be so successful.

We weren't sure how well this team would do in the end of year tournament but they just kept winning.  They ended up coming up through the losers bracket and played six games (one game everyday) in the last week of the season.  They ended up with second place and played really great in the championship game.  It was a crazy week but fun to watch!

June

June was another fun and busy month.  Alex was still in school and we spent a lot of them month playing make up baseball games but we still had a lot of fun.

This month we bought a table for our patio and the kids love eating out on it.  We have used it a ton already.

Mia and her cute friend Megan.  They have both matching shirts and flip flops so I had to get a picture.

Brandon knows my love language and surprised us by getting donuts on National Donut day.  He had to get up real early to get them before heading to work.

One of the cute girls in our neighborhood hosted a kid camp a few days this month.  The kids got to hunt for bugs at it and thought it was so much fun!

Alex got to go on a fun fieldtrip to the Leonardo for school.  He loved it.

We also got to see Alex perform in his end of year French program.  These were the best pictures I could get but I wanted to document his first time dancing with a girl.

We got Mia's end of year dance pictures back.  They turned out so cute. Next year she is going to do some competitive dance so we are excited to see how she grows in the next year.

This month we took a trip to the zoo with some of my family.  Brandon even got to take the day off work and join us.  It was a lot of fun!

We loved celebrating our favorite dad this month for Father's day.  It was a busy Sunday as usual but we are sure lucky to have Brandon in our family!

Also this month we kept the tradition up and took Alex to the 4th Harry Potter in Concert, The Goblet of Fire.  It was a lot of fun!

This month we went to see the Manti pageant with Brandon's family.  This was a first and a last for me because this is the last year they will be doing the pageant.  I'm glad we got to see it.  Our kids really loved it but they always love spending time with Cousins.

We spent another fun night mini golfing with the Peterson's.  Mia only threw her ball into the water once so we will call that a win.

Finally, at the end of the month we held Mia's first ever friend birthday party.  We got lucky with perfect weather and had a fun backyard swim party.  Mia had a blast and it was a great success.

Even Brandon got in on the fun!
