Fall Soccer

Both the kids wanted to play soccer again this fall.  They both had great seasons and had a lot of fun.  The weather was especially beautiful this fall.  It was fun to see them both grow and improve throughout the season. 

Brandon coached Mia's team again.  They were so much fun to watch.  Mia has perfected the art of running hard for the ball without ever actually making it to the ball.  She did get a few good kicks in this season though! 

This picture wasn't even coerced.  I love that they are truly good friends! 

September

September was a great month.  The weather was beautiful and we were able to have a lot of fun! 

We celebrated Brandon's birthday with my family. 

Mia loves playing with Megan and Braxton.

When I checked on Brandon in the garage I had to laugh at Alex.  He seemed to be mocking Brandon with his relaxing while Brandon worked hard. 

We got to see Jessica perform in the dance show Thriller.  It was such a fun show!

Mia officially stopped sucking her thumb this month.  It makes me a little sad.  We used the same "medicine" we used for Alex and she stopped right away just like he had when he was little. 

On Labor Day we went up to the mountains to explore a little.  We went to Silver Lake.  It was so beautiful! 

I wanted Alex to take our picture and Mia just had to be in it. 

We even spotted a deer. 

Mia started her second year of preschool this month.  It is so much fun having her in my class! 

We spent one night watching the Utah Symphony play the soundtrack of Jurassic Park at Usana Amphitheater.  It was fun!

Of course we had to spend a day at the State Fair.  It was a lot of fun as usual.  It is nice that Alex has someone to go on all the rides with now.  

While Alex was trying out some of the bigger rides Mia was having a grand time on the smaller rides by herself. 

Alex even wanted to try out the old classic, the "Gravitron." I was worried about sending him on it all by himself but he liked it a lot.  He was pretty dizzy afterwards though. 

Brandon and Alex always like to go on the this ride.  I loved the expression of the kid a few rows in front of them.  He didn't seem to be having much fun. 

We got to check out the talents of both Mindi and Elsie this year.  The kids thought this was so cool that they want to enter something next year!

One night this week we got to go to Brandon's work BBQ.  They had it at a really cool park up in Bountiful.  Alex quickly found a new friend and a stream to get wet and explore in.  It was a fun night! 

This month the Scouts had a Space Derby.  Alex loved making his rocket and his easily went the 

farthest!  

Mia was there for the treats. 

The last day of the month we had our Primary Program.  We had a practice/pizza party the Friday night before.  It is always a little chaotic but it turned out great.  I'm just glad it is done! 

Alex got his picture taken for school.  We love our handsome boy!
