April was another crazy month. We stayed very busy and had to deal with some illness. We are glad that everyone is feeling well again!
At the beginning of the month Mia had another competition. I didn't take many pictures this time because I wanted to just enjoy. They did a great job as usual.
Also this month I was able to go with Mia on a field trip to the Aquarium. This is the first field trip that these kids have been able to go on because of Covid. They had never even ridden a bus before. They were so excited and had so much fun!
We had a great Easter even though Mia was very sick for it. The Wednesday before Easter she came home from school with an ear infection. We went to the doctor and they gave her some anti-biotics. The next morning she woke up very sick and throwing up. She spent all day in bed, throwing up every 20 minutes or so. She kept count and threw up 17 times. It was very sad. We assumed this meant she was just allergic to the anti-biotics. She remained lethargic the next few days but didn't throw up anymore. By Easter she was still pretty lethargic though.
Easter was about the same. She was tired but not really having any other symptoms. I'm glad she could enjoy the day a little.
We were extra mean and made Mia go to church. We just took her to Sacrament meeting and then came home. She was a trooper!
After church we headed to Grandma Clements' house. We had lots of yummy food and another egg hunt where we got to earn some money!
The next week was spring break. Mia was feeling mostly better so we were excited to head out for lots of fun. Brandon took the end of the week off so on Wednesday our plan was to head out early for some fun activities. Unfortunately Wednesday morning Alex woke up sick and throwing up. Since he also got sick we wondered if Mia just had a bug and wasn't allergic to the medicine after all. Luckily he recovered quickly and we were able do some things Thursday afternoon and Friday.
Alex's request for Spring Break was to go to the Planetarium. We saw two shows and explored all the exhibits. It was a lot of fun!
Mia's request for Spring Break was to do the Rush Fun Complex that is new in Jordan Landing. We got there early before it got too busy but then ended up spending almost eight hours there. It was a hit!
