We were very busy in August. So busy that we didn't have time to take many pictures. Ripley is still thriving in her puppyhood and we are still in love with her.
A few different days this month we went to the Parade of Homes. This home had a hobbit house inside of it!
Ripley got a puppy trim this month. It wasn't a full cut but she looked very fluffy after.
I spent most of my month at school prepping to start teaching kindergarten. I was very proud of the bulletin board I made.
There was no picture but Ripley also graduated her first puppy training class. We are very proud.
Mostly in July Mia, Elsie and Lilah attended their annual summer drama/swim camp. On the first day of August they performed in their play. This year it was Peter Pan. Mia had a great time as usual!
Alex got to start playing football for real this month. The first game they had was just a scrimmage against themselves. It was fun to see him out there.
He's even gotten to play some in the real games. He plays corner back or is on special teams. He's done a great job!
Sadly August also means back to school. I can't believe we had a high schooler. Alex has been liking high school so far.
Our awesome neighbor Logan takes Alex to school every morning so I had to document is first day heading out.
Alex was supposed to be reading before bed on his first day but he had quickly fallen asleep. Early school and football until the evening is a bit of an adjustment.
The next day Mia had her first day as well. It is her last year in Elementary school. Mia isn't too excited to be back at school but is having a good year so far. She is looking so grown up!
I also had my first day of school! I will just be teaching afternoon Kindergarten. I was a bit nervous but it went really well. I have a very cute class!
The Kindergarten team I am teaching with.
The 2nd week of school we had a school wide picnic. It was a lot of fun and it is always fun when I get to see Mia.
Also this month Brandon's work had an open house for their new building. Mia and I got to go check it out. It is pretty fancy!
Brandon even gets his very own closet sized office.
Finally, at the end of the month we celebrated our favorite guy's birthday.
A large soft serve cone is always on the birthday list.
We had a fun birthday weekend celebrating him. It was also labor day weekend so we even got an extra day. We saw a few movies in the theater and even finally did an outdoor movie in the backyard. Better late than never. It was a great weekend!
