We had a wonderful holiday season this year. As usual we kept busy and had a lot of fun. We started off keeping with tradition and went to the Festival of Trees.
One of our favorite parts is eating delicious scones.
Obviously Mia liked her scone.
We just can't resist posing with the large movie advertisements.
It is fun that this year Mia and Alex actually have some of the same interests. They both love Paw Patrol. We got Pups Save Christmas on DVD and they watched it a million times before Christmas.
This year we finally made it to the Christmas in Color light show. You drive through while you watch tons of lights synchronized to music. Our kids loved it.
We also got to visit Santa again with Clements side of the family. I tried coaching Mia for weeks leading up to visiting Santa. I knew she would be shy and not want to sit on his lap. I thought I had her convinced that Santa was a nice guy but when it came time to sit on his lap she was furious. She cried and tried to get down. None of the three youngest were a fan of him. Here's hoping for next year.
We also participated in our family's annual production of the Nativity story. It was crazy as usual but a good reminder of why we celebrate the season.
Alex chose to be baby Jesus again. He takes his part very seriously.
For Brandon's work party this year we got to go see Moana again. It was a lot of fun and we were impressed that Mia sat through it for the second time.
We got free popcorn, drinks, and Cold Stone ice cream after the movie.
We also got to take Alex to Rogue One this month. It was a lot of fun and we loved the movie.
We got to take this super awesome picture after the movie.
I had to document their matching Christmas pajamas with just a few pictures.
How Mia really feels about all the pictures.
I love that these two love each other and genuinely like to play together. I hope it lasts!
Putting Alex to work.
I can't remember the last time Mia slept in my arms but she fell sound asleep at one of Alex's basketball games this month. She had not been feeling well and I enjoyed the snuggles!
We got to attend our Ward Christmas party this month and the primary kids sang.
Mia and Alex loved decorating a Gingerbread house. We love the premade kits that make it really easy. Brandon has a hard time just letting them go at it but I think it turned out great in the end.
There was quite a bit of sugar consumed during the process.
Alex colored this Disney collage and was pretty proud of it.
I also got to help in Alex's class this month at their Christmas party. I always love seeing him at school.
Also, this month we watched Alex sing at his school Sing A Long. It was pretty crowded and crazy and poor Alex is too short to see a lot of the time.
We got to spend some time visiting Maryann and Stephanie this month. We got to exchange Christmas presents and play for awhile. Our kids love seeing them.
Alex had to go to school right up through the 23rd this year. On one of the last days Brandon and I took Mia out to breakfast while he was at school. It is always fun to spend one on one time with either of our kids and the food was delicious too.
Also, on the 23rd we got to take Alex to the Symphony down town. They played the score to Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone while we got to watch the movie. It was so much fun and we definitely want to do it again.
