September

September was another fun month at our house.  The kids were busy with school, dance, and sports but we still had time to have some fun.

We had one last celebration for Brandon's birthday.

On Labor Day weekend we finally made it out to get a snow cone.  It was a great way to end the summer.

In September Mia also started attending Miss Joey's preschool.  I thought it would be good for her to still get out of the house and learn from someone else.  She has loved going!

On the first day she was the first one out and came running to the car.  She had a ton of fun!

Mia is also loving having preschool at home.  I was worried she would get burned out but she is always excited for her preschool friends to get to our house.  She loves watching for them out the window.

This month we were able to take Alex to see Raiders of the Lost Ark in concert with the Utah Symphony.  It was a ton of fun and Alex loved it.

We also had a great time at the Utah State Fair as usual!  Luckily the weather held out and we didn't get rained on.

Alex is always so sweet to help Mia whenever she needs it.

Last year Brandon took Alex on this ride so this year we thought he could go by himself.  We watched his face the first time and he looked terrified.  Luckily he ran off excited and went on it three more times in a row.

Alex opted to ride more rides while Mia and I went to the mini circus they had.  It was actually a lot of fun and Mia was mesmerized by it.

One night in early September we heard a thud from Mia's room.  She had fallen out of bed and was very upset.  After consoling her for a few minutes she went back to sleep and slept the rest of the night.  The next day we noticed she wasn't using her right arm at all.  She wouldn't let us touch it at all and changing clothes was really hard for her.  She even fell asleep right in the middle of the floor watching a movie.

The next day we took her into the doctor to see what happened.  She was so giddy and happy for the doctor I think they thought I was crazy at first.  She lifted her arm and did everything the doctor asked her to do.  The doctor was about to send us home when she touched her collar bone and Mia quickly pulled away.  After an x-ray we discovered the Mia did break her collar bone.  Luckily, it just bent it and didn't go all the way through.

Mia was just supposed to wear a sling and let it heal for a few weeks.  She didn't wear the sling much but it did seem to heal right up and in just a couple of weeks she was using it normally again.  We are glad it wasn't more serious!

Mia only occasionally takes naps these days.  On this day when I went to wake her up I found her surrounded by books.  It looked like she had fallen asleep reading.

All the grand kids on the Clements side.

Mia almost always falls asleep in the car on the way to Alex's soccer practice.  This time she was sleeping with her eyes part way open.  It was creepy!

We got Alex's second grade picture back.  He is one handsome kid!
