December - Part Two

The rest of December was a ton of fun.  On Christmas Eve we started out the day with an early breakfast at Black Bear Diner with Brandon's family.  Then Stephanie came over to visit for awhile and brought the kids their Christmas presents.

In the afternoon we made some gingerbread cookies to leave out for Santa.  The kids had a good time frosting them.

In the evening we went to Sarah, Jen and Bayley's house for dinner and a white elephant gift exchange.  It was fun and entertaining as usual.

The kids were so excited to get home and get ready fro Santa.  They left treats for him and his reindeer.

Another sleepover in Alex's room.

Christmas morning.  This year we had a Christmas tree downstairs so Santa left our presents down there.  The kids (and Boo) were so excited to see if he came!

Mia really has the posing down.

He came!

Mia was so excited to get her "Barbie Dream House!"

The kids also each got a new Bean Bag chair.

Even Boo got some presents.

Alex got super lucky and got a new ipad mini from Santa.

Boo was sure excited to wear her new Christmas sweater!

We even had a little time Christmas morning for the kids to start playing with their new toys.  They love digging in these sand boxes to find prizes.

Around noon we headed out.  Our first stop was at the Clements house.  We opened stockings, presents and ate delicious food.

Next we went to the Hettingers for more presents and more yummy food.  It was a great time!

Boo really lived it up!

Mia got a barbie car!

After another snowstorm Mia was helping shovel.  She did a really good job.

Mia also got to give her first talk this month in primary.  It was pretty cute!

Another shoveling session.

Mia got a fairy garden for Christmas.  She was so excited to plant it.

Our next door neighbor hosted a "sock party" for moms and girls a few days after Christmas.  It was so much fun and Mia was in heaven.  Now she wants to host a party of her own and invite all the same people.

We also went to see the lights at Temple Square again this year.  It was very cold again but a lot of fun.

Finally we also held our annual nativity re-enactment.  It was high quality as usual.  Alex was a "wise-man." Brandon and I were Joseph and Mary and Mia was an angel.  Alex took most of these pictures and did a pretty good job.

Scott stole the show as baby Jesus.

It is always nice to be reminded of the reason for the season but we missed Jaden this year.  We ended the year with another game night/sleep over at the Hettingers.  It was a great year and we are excited for what 2019 has to offer!
