May

May might be our busiest month of the year.  But we survived and had some fun too!

Here are some random pictures from the month...

Mia loves to have "picnics" in the living the room.

We finally got an outdoor table this month and have pretty much eaten out on it every night since.  And for some reason Alex has no shirt on again.

We had a pajama day/read-a-thon day at preschool.  It was a lot of fun.  I will miss this cute class!

Anniversary/Mother's day flowers.  Brandon and I have given up on trying to celebrate our anniversary with how crazy this month is but he did surprise me flowers.

Alex got some new arrows for his birthday and has loved trying them out.

We got to check out all the cute puppies at a new puppy store by our house.  We wanted to take them all home but especially that cute Westie.

Mia and Cody playing a serious game of chess.

It was a year for Alex to have a friend birthday party.  He wanted to have it at "Altitude" which is a new trampoline park by our house.  It was pretty cool and they all had a lot of fun.  The only injury was Alex running into a table and hitting his nose almost as soon as we got there.  It gave him a pretty good sore for a few days.  Luckily it didn't slow him down and they had a lot of fun!

It has worked out conveniently that Alex is off track on his birthday each year.  So this year we all slept in and then started off the day by opening presents.

Then we ate cinnamon rolls that Brandon had made.  He stayed up late the night before to make them.

Next Alex wanted to head to the Museum of Natural Curiosity.  This is always his place of choice for a fun day.  They loved it as usual.

Next we headed to Huhot for a late lunch.  Both of our kids love this place.

We ended the day by seeing Detective Pikachu in theaters.  Both kids really liked it.  It was a fun and successful birthday! I can't believe he is 9!

Finally, to end the celebrations we had a family party at our house a few days later.  Alex wanted a "Fortnite" theme.  Brandon made another amazing cake.  I think after nine years we finally have this party throwing thing down.

The next day was mother's day.  It was a busy day but I felt very loved. I'm so lucky to have these two!

This month Alex had a piano recital.  He played the Indiana Jones theme.  He's been practicing it since March.  He had it memorized and played it perfectly.  I am so impressed at his hard work!

Also this month, Mia had her final dance recital.  She was so excited!

She has loved having Delilah in her dance class this year!

Waiting back stage to perform.  They got to hang out with Jessica.
They also got to meet a minion and Cinderella.

Mia and her class performed their dance so well!

She had a very serious face the whole time.

She found her cute friend Ari after so we had to make them pose together.

Getting flowers from Dad might be her favorite part.

Sadly this is the last month that Mia will be in preschool with me.  I have loved teaching her and getting to see her with all her classmates.  Every morning before class she would wait at the window and watch for her friends to arrive.

We ended the year with our Graduation program.  It is a lot of work but it turned out great!  I really will miss this group of students.

Also one half of the room was filled up with my family there to support Mia, Delilah and me.  It was great that they could all make it!
