April

April was another weird month. We continued to quarantine and really only saw family.  Schools remained closed and we got used to doing school work from home.  We had a few more after shocks from our earthquake but we haven't felt any more for awhile now.  Hopefully they are done! At least we had Easter to look forward to.

One Sunday Jessica and Sadie performed "the Routine" from Friends.  It was pretty awesome.  They are using their quarantine well!

We had some kind friends set up an Easter Egg hunt in our yard for us as a surprise.  Our kids loved it!

Mia and Alex especially loved talking with their cousins online.  Things got pretty crazy and they loved laughing at each other.

Shopping got even weirder this month.  Luckily my mom made us all face masks.  It is a little eerie to go out and see so many people in masks along with all the precautions they are taking.

I think we have done more yard work in the last month than we have in our whole life.  Brandon especially loved planting some new trees.

We (happily) said goodbye to our matrix this month and bought a Toyota Highlander.  I didn't take a picture of it yet but we are loving our new car.

Smore's in the backyard.

Mia doesn't like the smell of smoke so this was her solution.

I've done my best to make preschool work this month.  Each Monday we have a lesson on Zoom and then I drop off a packet of activities to all my students.  It is nice that I can stay connected with them a little bit.

We took more walks this month.

Boo has enjoyed riding in our new car.  Alex was really excited she would sit on his lap.

I love General Conference weekend and this one was no different.  It was nice because we had no other activities pulling us away and we were able to enjoy all the sessions.  Sadly Mia had to miss the semi-annual cousins sleepover though because somehow she got Strep Throat.  As soon as she got antibiotics she got better fast and none of the rest of us got it.

We were so glad we could participate in some of the usual Easter festivities.  Grandma Hettinger held her Easter egg hunt and we decorated eggs.  The kids loved it!

Such cute kids ...

On Easter morning the kids woke up bright and early to see what the Easter bunny had brought.

They found eggs and Easter baskets full of treats.

They were really excited that I had still gotten them Easter clothes before everything went crazy and made them put them on for a few pictures.

Easter church at home was a little different but I actually really enjoyed it.  We had a great lesson about the Savior that the kids really got into.  It was a great day!
