February was a quick, fun month. Here are the highlights.
Right at the beginning of the month Mia was able to get her cast off. The doctor said her elbow is healing well. She was a little careful with it for the first few days but now it seems pretty much back to normal.
Brandon took Mia and Alex up to Logan one weekend so that they could do some ice fishing. This first picture sums up the excitement that is ice fishing but Alex seems to love it!
Mia loved playing with Kenzie while the boys fished.
Alex even got to try out their motor bike. He thought it was very cool.
One morning on the way home from piano lessons we spotted this rainbow in the sky. It was very cool.
For a few weeks Mia kept requesting "Miss Piggy" hair. I wasn't really sure how to do it but this was as close as I could get. She looked pretty cute!
Alex just enjoying his Valentine's treats.
Alex is such a good big brother. Here he is playing dolls with Mia.
One day Alex noticed a bird on our back steps so he went to look at it and realized it was a hawk. Alex accidently startled it so it dropped its lunch on our steps. I was hoping it would come back and pick up it's lunch so I left it there for awhile. It did come back a few times but it never picked up the bird. I finally had to throw it out so Boo could go outside. Luckily the hawk never came back after that and took Boo for it's lunch instead.
We had a fun Valentine's day. Alex got to make a box for his class so he made Baby Yoda. Mia loves any excuse to dress up so she was excited!
After one of our snowstorms this month we finally went sledding. The snow was not great but good enough to get down the hill.
After another snowstorm we had enough snow to make a snowman which was Mia's number one request. We ended up making two big snowmen!
Then he switched things up and made him a happy Mickey snowman.
One night this month Alex had a late birthday party so Brandon and I got to spend the night with Mia. This involved a makeover, a tea party and even a dance party at the end. It was a lot of fun!
Finally, at the end of the month we got to see Mia perform her two dances she has been working on since September. She is very fun to watch. She gets very into her dances and has some awesome facial expressions.
Also at the end of the month we said goodbye to my Grandma, Jean Thomas. She had been suffering with Alzheimer's for a long time so we are glad she is finally at rest now. We were able to attend the funeral and celebrate her life.
