August was another fun, hot, busy month. We finished up our vacation in St. George. We went bowling, did a little more swimming, checked out a fun park and then headed home. It was such a fun trip that I'm sure we will want to repeat!
We also went to the Taylorsville pool for the first time with some neighbors. It was a lot of fun. Mia has come so far in her swimming since the beginning of the summer. She can now jump off the diving board and swim to the side of the pool. She did this over and over while we were there. Alex also jumped off the high dive a lot!
We also went camping with the Peterson's for a couple of nights. This time we went to the Palisades so we could play in the lake. It was a lot of fun. The air was very smokey because of the fires in California so the pictures are a little eerie.
Early in the month Mia had dance pictures. We haven't gotten her real pictures back yet but here are some from behind the scenes. She is on another cute team this year.
We got to enjoy one more month with Indy. He is always entertaining.
At the end of the month we got to celebrate Brandon's birthday. While the kids were in school we went to a movie. Later in the week we went to Asian Star to celebrate.
At the beginning of the month Brandon finished his last class to earn his MBA from Utah State. He has been working on it for two years without any breaks. He spent a lot of late nights working on homework and tests while we all went to bed. He also managed to keep up with work during a pandemic, church callings, coaching soccer, lots of jobs around the house and much more. We are so proud of him and grateful for his hard work! We held a movie night in the backyard to celebrate. We ate all his favorite treats and watched one of his favorite movies, "Back to the Future." It was a lot of fun!
We also took a family trip to the zoo this month. Even though we didn't see any polar bears (again) we had a great time.
It was a great month!
