November - Part One

November was a very fun month for one big reason.  We finally got to go on our long awaited trip to Florida.  We went with all of Brandon's side of the family.  We stayed in a big house together for 12 days, visited lots of theme parks and had a ton of fun! Of course I took a lot of pictures!

On the airplane they separated all our seats.  The three 7 year olds sat together while the rest of us sat near the back of the plan.  There were a few mishaps, including a very turbulent flight but the kids did great on their own!

One of the coolest parts of this trip was the giant house we stayed in.  It had more than enough bedrooms for all of us.  Many were Disney themed including a Moana Bunk room.  It had an arcade room and a pool in the backyard.  I think the kids would have been happy just coming for this house alone.  Plus they loved being able to play together non-stop.

The first real day of our trip we headed to Gatorland.  We saw lots of Gators, fed Gators, sat on Gators, ate Gator, held birds and even met a friendly racoon.

One of the many things on this trip that Mia was nervous about but she did it anyway!

Being forced to try Gator.  It was fine, just a little chewy.

Mia preferred the hot dog as big as her!

The first day of Disney parks we headed to Magic Kingdom!

Luckily we didn't have to wear masks the whole time at Disneyworld.  We did have to wear them on indoor rides and lines though.

I thought it was hilarious to give Brandon the stare down.

Another ride Mia wasn't thrilled to go on but she did it anyway.  Before coming on this trip we had been telling her that she needed to try every ride she was tall enough for at least once. She did great and ended up really liking most rides.  We got her on Splash Mountain three or four times.

Space Mountain was one she didn't want to ride again.  The first half of the trip we hardly saw Alex.  He hung with Mikah and Max in line and on rides so we didn't get as many pictures of him.  He was having tons of fun though!

We were very tired by the end of the night but ready to do it again for ten more days!

The next day we headed to Hollywood Studios.  They had a lot of new things since the last time we were here.  We loved Slinky Dog's ride! One of my favorite rides from the whole trip was also at Hollywood Studios.  It was Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.  It was so cute and fun!

Alex has been long looking forward to making a droid on this trip.  It turned out awesome and was a lot of fun.  Brandon got to help him while we watched.

Mia knew as soon as she saw it that she wanted this unicorn backpack to be her souvenir.  There was no talking her out of it.  She loved carrying it around the parks.

The next day we headed to EPCOT.  We were also excited to try the new rides there.  We rode Frozen first and got to ride the new Ratatouille ride.  They were both very fun!

Alex loved all the space themed rides.  He rode Mission Earth three times.  Twice by himself because he loved it so much!

This is how character interactions work during Covid.

Alex also thought the astronaut ice cream was very cool.  This ice cream sandwich had the consistency of a cracker.  It was crazy.

We got a crepe in the France region of EPCOT and it was one of the best things we ate all trip.

We also had to relive the fun of trying all the sodas from around the world.  It was as hilarious as last time and I got some great pictures again.

I love the way these pictures progress...

Trying out their droids together...

The next day we went to Animal Kingdom.  We started out riding Expedition Everest twice in a row because there was no wait.  Once was fun, twice was a mistake!

Oh Alex...

The Safari was much cooler than I remember.  Maybe we saw more animals this time.

We got to check out Pandora.  It was cool.

After getting off one of the rides it had started pouring rain and it didn't look like it was going to stop anytime soon.  We tried to wait it out of minute but it was raining very hard so we headed home for the day.  Luckily we had ridden everything once already.

We ended up playing at the house the rest of the day.  Zayne and I had a lot of fun being firemen.

To be continued....
