May

May is the craziest month of the year for us.  It was filled with dance, sports, school and lots of fun!

Mia likes to leave very creepy pictures made from her hair in the shower for Alex.  Here are some of her best creations.

Mia went to a movie night at the elementary with her friend Penny.  They even won a gift basket.  She had so much fun!

At the beginning of the month the kids had their end of year piano recital.  Alex played the Mission Impossible theme and Linus and Lucy.  Mia played We Don't Talk About Bruno and A Spoonful of Sugar.  They both played so well.  It is fun to see all their hard work pay off as they develop their talents.

We had to celebrate with Yogurtland after!

Mia had one last competition and convention at the beginning of the month.  We stayed a night in Provo again.  They performed really well and got all Platinum scores and all first places for their dances.  It was a great way to end the season!

We also got to celebrate Alex's birthday this month.  We celebrated for almost a full week.  Up first was his family party.  He wanted a Stranger Things theme.  Brandon made another amazing cake!

On his birthday Alex requested pancakes and bacon for breakfast.

We dragged Mia out of bed a bit early so Alex had time to open his presents before school.

He was very excited about getting some grape Prime for his birthday.  It was one of the few flavors he hasn't tried yet.

He is obsessed!

Alex also requested Sakana for dinner.  He loves Sushi.  We had to wait and go after Mia got done with dance so it made for a late night.

Finally at the end of the week Alex had his friend party.  He wanted to return to Space Camp.  We had to drive 12 boys down to Pleasant Grove and back but we survived.  Luckily they had lot of fun!

This month we also celebrated Mother's Day.  Brandon and kids made it a great day!

We got to meet the Clements' family's new puppy.

Brandon made another amazing card!

Near the end of month I held my preschool graduation.  This was the first time I held it at night and it was a bit crazy.  We had one family running late, the kids were tired and hungry and it was very crowded.  But we survived! I will miss this group of kids!

With the end of the school year Mia had lots of performances at school.  She had a French program, an art show and a music performance.  It was fun to see all of them!

She really is a great artist!

This year Synergy had their auditions in May.  Mia worked hard on her audition dance.  She is still pretty small for her age.  She looks so small compared to the other girls her age. She has been working very hard and did a great job!

Also, this month Alex finally got to participate in the pinewood derby.  It got snowed out in February.  It was worth the wait because his car won!  His car was faster than everyone else's by quite a bit.  His uncle Trevor helped him build it.

Finally at the end of the month we had a lovely Memorial Day.  We did some yard work, saw a movie and then ate a delicious dinner at Grandma Clements house.  We are ready for summer!
