June was a fun month! It was nice to be done with school and so many things that keep us busy. The weather was very rainy and cool this month which was nice.
At the beginning of June the kids had their last days of school. I got to help in a class party for Mia. They had set up a fun photo booth as part of the party.
Before our summer got too crazy we wanted to check out a Bees game. It wasn't a very busy game which meant we got great seats. We ate lots of yummy food and enjoyed the summer baseball. It is best way to spend a summer night!
Also in June we got to spend a weekend in Park City. The weather was rainy on and off all weekend but we were still able to do everything we wanted to. It was a lot of fun!
The next day Brandon and Alex headed back to the Olympic park to try out the rest of the things they didn't get to the day before. Mia had already done everything she could do so we stayed back this time. Alex and Brandon did two bigger ropes courses and a bungee jump as well. Alex said they were very high and scary but he did it all!
After they got back we all headed to the Park Silly festival. There were tons of booths set up along main street. It was tons of fun and we found tons of cool booths. Unfortunately it started raining pretty hard so we didn't stay as long as we would have liked. There were tons of people, dogs and food. It was pretty cool!
We also got to go bowling with some the Hettinger family this month. It was a ton of fun!
This month we got to celebrate our favorite dad! Even though we didn't feel as busy this month we did a lot of projects around the house. After working all day Brandon came home every night to do more projects. He works so hard and is the best dad! It was another dark and rainy day in June.
We also took the kids on a quick hike this month. We finally made it up the the Draper Suspension bridge. We've been meaning to go for a few years. It is a pretty short hike but it was getting hot. Alex loved it, Mia tolerated it.
June was also a big month for Alex. He finally got braces this month. Many of his friends have already had them and are done with them. Here is the before and after. He shouldn't have to keep them on very long at least so that is good!
At the end of the month Mia's birthday celebrations began. We went out for a birthday dinner at HuHot Mongolian Grill which is Mia's favorite place. It was delicious as always!
