June

June was a great month.  We finally finished school and got to start enjoying some time off.  Ripley got to meet her cousins.  She was very excited to play with other dogs.  Indy is not a fan of her yet but Dudley and Gus will put up with her.

We are obviously still enyoing her very much!

Brandon was sad they didn't do a better job on his cone.

Ripley loved her first bath!

On the Sunday before the 4th of July many of us dressed up in patriotic clothes.  My neighbor Andrea never misses an opportunity for a photo!

The last week of school was a lot of fun.  We had field day and I even got to hang out with Mia a bit.

It was always a mystery if Alex was even at school or not during the last week.  One day the ring camera caught him being ambushed by his friends with water guns.  He quickly defended himself.

After the last day I got to move some of my stuff into the classroom I will be sharing.  I'm excited to teach afternoon Kindergarten at Fox Hollow next year.  I have a great team and it will be so nice to be at Mia's school one last year.

I will miss working on the Special Ed team though.  These ladies were so nice and work so hard for the kids they teach.

This month we got to celebrate our favorite Father.  Brandon is really the best and hardest worker.  Sometimes his jokes are funny.  We love him!

A glimpse into cousin time at Grandma's house.

The second week of summer I got to spend at Young Women's camp.  I didn't take a ton of pictures this year but had a great time.  It was very tiring but the weather was perfect. They girls and leaders were so much fun!

I got to complete a fun ropes course high up in the trees.  This was the only picture I got.

We spent a morning on the lake getting drenched.

We saw some cool wild life including this big moose.  We probably got too close but he must have been very used to people.

Camp is always more fun with friends.  Jess and I served in the primary presidency together years ago and it is fun to be in young women's with her now.

The day I got home we also got delivered a new mattress.  Brandon and I have had our mattress for all 18 years of our marriage so it was time!  I laid down to try it out and didn't get back up for awhile.  I was so tired! While I napped Brandon went out and got me a Fiiz drink and washed my car which was very dirty after hauling girls to and from camp.

Brandon was very excited to hear that Weird Al was touring again and coming to Utah.  He went all out on the tickets and even got back stage passes to meet Weird Al.  Alex is also a pretty big fan so they had a lot of fun going together.

They had great seats and really enjoyed all the theatrics.  The opener was even a lot of fun.

Lots of costume changes!

At the end of May Alex came to us and said he wanted to play football this year.  He's mentioned wanting to play before but it always interfered with baseball so he always chose baseball.  We reached out to the coach to see if it was too late to join and he said no.  Suddenly our life was full of football! He started going before and after school.  Then in the summer he spent around 6 or 7 hours at practice.  It was crazy!  He is loving it and we are so proud of him for jumping into something new and working hard.  In true football fashion he has already broken his finger but it should heal quickly.  Right away he got to participate in some 7 on 7 games.  He is mostly playing defensive back and doing a great job!

At the end of the month we kicked off Mia's birthday celebrations.  This was a friend party year and she wanted to have it at Ninja Kidz.  It was a lot of fun!

It was a great month!
