The Happiest Place on Earth

A few weeks ago we were able to go on a vacation to California with Brandon's family.  Our first stop was Disneyland.  This of course was Alex's first trip to Disneyland and we spent three days living it up.  The weather was perfect, the lines were short and we had a great time.  Alex loved every ride he was tall enough to go on.  He would only get upset when it was time to get off the rides.  He did great waiting in line (that is what I was most nervous about) and even took a nap in his stroller every day.

We tried to get him to wear his "First Visit" button but he was not a fan.

Our first ride was the Finding Nemo Submarine.  Alex was fascinated.

He loved the Winnie the Pooh ride.
This picture was taken on the Haunted Mansion.  I was surprised Alex didn't get scared at all.

Pirates of the Caribbean

We thought this might be the only opportunity to get a picture with his Mickey ears on.

Waiting for the World of Color to start.
It was such a cool show.
Day One at Disneyland was a success!
Meeting his first character.  Alex was curious but a little nervous.
 Not a fan anymore.

Dumbo was one of his favorite rides.

Alex, losing his patience in line.  He just wanted to get down and climb on everything.  Luckily we never had to wait in very long lines.

Meeting Pluto, Alex was a little more comfortable now.

Alex turned 2 on our last day in Disneyland.  It was such a fun way to spend his birthday.  We started off the day with a small present.

One of Alex's favorite things was running around Toon Town.  He loved exploring all the crazy houses.

Visiting Mickey's house.

Mikah and Alex playing with their souvenirs.

Brandon and I have always loved Disneyland so it was so much fun watching Alex experience everything for the first time.  We can't wait to go again when Alex is a little taller and can ride some of the big rides.
