Scary Fun

As usual we ended October with a bang.  Brandon was able to take a whole week off of work to celebrate my birthday and Halloween.  It was so much fun having him home and we stuffed a lot of fun into those seven days. We have a TON of pictures to prove it.

On Friday we had a Halloween party at Jen and Sarah's (and temporarily our) house.  We made cookies and chicken noodle soup for dinner.

To start the party off we shot off the candy cannon.  This was a first for my family.  Even though it was cold it was fun to gather up all the candy that had exploded into the air.

Brandon, preparing the cannon.
Alex, playing Scott's head like bongos.
 Gathering candy.

We also played Halloween songpop.

And Boo made friends with Elsie.

On Sunday we celebrated my birthday with my family.

Brandon got me a giant cookie cake from Mrs. Fields.  It was delicious!
Cousins preparing the candles.
Attempting to blow out the candles.  Brandon thought it would be so funny to get me trick candles.  Hilarious.

 On my birthday morning.

Brandon and his parents got together to get me a sewing machine.  Now I just have to learn to use it!
Brandon planned a full day of awesome activities.  I got to start the day by getting my first ever professional massage.  It was wonderful!  Next, we went bowling.  I was super excited because not only was this my lucky birthday, in which I was turning 29 on the 29th but they also put us on lane 29.  I was excited but Brandon just thought I was weird.  I did win both games though!

After bowling we did a little shopping at City Creek and ate dinner at the cheesecake factory.  We ended the night by seeing the movie Argo.  It was a perfect birthday!

Alex spent my birthday night at his Great Grandma's house.  Before we left he got to show off his costume.

The next day we carved pumpkins as usual.  Alex wasn't super interested but he was impressed by the results.

We were glad we got a picture of the finished products because the next day Alex took pieces off the Spiderman and Frankenweenie so they didn't look quite as good.  Brandon carved the three that required real skill and mine is the one that says Eek.
The big day! On Halloween we took some pictures before heading out for the night.

Like last year, Alex went trick or treating with Mikah and Max.  Here they are checking each other out.
The three boys.  Max was not a fan of his costume.
 Muscles.

Wilson and Alex just happened to be the same thing this year.
 More cute cousins.
I think Alex is a little confused that all the Halloween stuff is being put away now.  We look forward to next year!
