February was a great month! It went so fast and we had a lot of fun.
We started off the month with a bang and got to clean the church. I had to document that Mia can clean.
The kids had a few days off school in February so we spent one morning at our new favorite place, Classic Skating. Our kids can't get enough.
We had a great time celebrating Valentine's day this year. Mia took little boxes of cereal for her class.
We also enjoyed watching the Super Bowl together. We made a lot of delicious food and because of Taylor Swift Mia was even pretty into it.
Just a few weeks before, Brandon and I were invited on an impromptu trip to Disneyland to celebrate our friend Lauries upcoming birthday. We couldn't resist another Disney trip and it happened to be on one of the only open weekends we had coming up until May. So we took that as a sign that we should go. We are so glad we did. It was so much fun. It wasn't overly crowded, the weather was beautiful and we ate our weight in treats.
We originally thought Brandon would be done with his boot before the trip but an MRI showed he still had a few healing bones so he has to stay in his boot until at least mid march. So he had to bring along his scooter. I don't think either of us realized how hard this would be. His leg got very sore after scooting on it for three days. Having the scooter made a few rides a shorter wait but many rides actually took longer to load after waiting in an accessible line. Many times he just ditched the scooter while we were in line.
We never noticed how bumpy and uneven many of the walkways are at Disneyland. This made some areas very hard to scoot on for Brandon.
To save some money on our flight we opted for a very early flight. It left at 6:00 am California time. We had to set our alarms for 3:00 am. We slept through the flight and made it home by 10:00 am which was pretty awesome though. We did crash for a while once we were home though.
I snuck a few pictures of Mia while she took a class. She wasn't thrilled to take a lesson but it helped and she was doing so well by the end. I can't keep up with her anymore.
We can't wait to do it again soon!
