May

May is truly the craziest month of the year for us and this year was no different. Mia had on more solo competition at the beginning of the month.  She did a great job as always!

We also held Alex's family birthday party at the beginning of the month.  He is very in F1 lately so he chose that as his theme. Plus it worked perfect since he is turning 16. Brandon made another amazing cake and he chose to eat hamburgers.  We were so glad to celebrate him.

The night before his birthday we went out as a family to celebrate.  He chose to eat at HuHot.

On his birthday morning he still had to get up early to head to football.  Brandon got donuts first and made sure to sing to him.

Brandon also surprised me with a little gift for our anniversary. We have been married 19 years!

He made some great faces opening his presents.

At night Brandon took Alex and a few of his friends to eat and drive so go-carts.

The same day Mia had her last dance competition until Nationals in the summer.  This was a local competition.  Mia's dances did really well so that was a lot of fun!

The next day was Mother's day.  It was a crazy weekend!

I love being their Mom!

Mia also had her last Elementary French program this month.  I got to see it when they did the assembly for the school and Brandon got to see it the next day when they performed it for parents.

Alex thought I was crazy but I had to document his last day of piano lessons.  We are finally letting him quit this year.  Even though it is not his favorite thing I have loved seeing him progress and work hard.

I also captured his last day practicing.

Then it was time for their recital.  Mia will continue on next year but this will be Alex's last recital.  They both did an amazing job!

Brandon and I got to sit in a suite for a Royals game for his work one night.  It was pretty cool and they won!

On the same night as her piano recital Mia also had dance tryouts for next year.  She did great and will be on Preteen company again.

Ripley still loves to cuddle! Hopefully that never changes.

On our family walk, I'm glad they aren't too old to play at the park a little bit.

One night Alex hitched a ride to young men's but instead they wound up getting ice cream.  Alex was more than okay with it.

I made it to the activity.  We hiked Ensign Peak.

The last time Mia and I will both be in our Isibindi Shirts at school so I had to snag a picture.  I will really miss having her at Fox Hollow next year.  She is more than ready to move on to Middle School however.

I'm not sure what was happening here.

At the very end of the month we got to celebrate Devyn's birthday.  It was a great month but I'm ready for a slower one.
