More Disney World

Day 4 - Epcot

On our fourth day of vacation we headed to Epcot.  It was definitely not our favorite park but it was nice to have day where we got to slow down a little.

Trying soda from different countries.  Most of them were disgusting.  Alex was so sticky by the time we were done.

We tricked Brandon into taking a big gulp of the most disgusting flavor.

We were a little nervous about how Mia would like meeting the characters.  When we took Alex to Disneyland at about her age he was not a fan of them.  Mia was the opposite.  She loved them.  Especially characters she was familiar with.  She ran right up and gave Mickey and Minnie big hugs.  Goofy she was a little more nervous about.  It was so fun to see her reaction.

Day 5 - Animal Kingdom

The next day we headed to Animal Kingdom.  I thought it was very cool.  It was another nice change of pace.  Mia timed her nap perfectly and fell asleep right before it was time for us to get on the safari.  She slept through almost the whole thing and missed all the animals.

After Animal Kingdom we headed back to Disney Springs to shop and eat dinner.  We loved checking out the Lego Store of course.

That night we ate at the T-Rex Cafe.  It had giant dinosaurs inside and was a lot of fun.

Expedition Everest was one of our favorite rides.  Alex was not such a fan.

Mia loved testing out all the stuffed animals in the gift shops.  We finally settled on getting her the Pooh Bear and then she wanted nothing to do with it.  Luckily she has warmed up to it now that we are home.

Day 6 - Legoland

Next, just our family headed out to Legoland.  We were nervous to trade a rest day for another theme park but we were so glad we went.  It ended up being so much fun and Alex loved it.  It wasn't busy at all so we didn't have to wait in lines and all the rides were catered to Alex's age.  It was perfect.

Day 7 - Universal Studios

Next, we headed to Universal Studios.  Brandon and I were excited to return to the Harry Potter park and see what was new.  We picked a great week.  It wasn't very busy and we didn't have to wait long for any ride.

This was not a great park for Mia.  They have very little that catered to little kids but she was a champ and endured both days.

Eating at the Three Broomsticks.

Mia loved the Frozen Butterbeer and this random worker photo bombed our picture.

Day 8 - Universal Studios

This giant donut was delicious.

Heading through the wall to Platform 9 and 3/4.  This was so cool.

The train was one of the highlights as well.  It was so fun and had such great detail.

Alex was very serious about picking out his chocolate frog.

Day 9 - Magic Kingdom

Next we headed back to the Magic Kingdom.  We had an early breakfast reservation which was kind of cool because it meant that we got to enter the park early.  We got some great pictures while it wasn't too busy.

We ate breakfast at the Be Our Guest Restaurant.  It had very cool ambiance but was pretty expensive and not that great of food.  It was definitely fun to try out though.

Alex loved eating at the Pinocchio restaurant that overlooked the Small World ride.

Alex fell sound asleep on the way home.  Thankfully Grandpa carried him to the hotel.

Day 10 - Hollywood Studios/Magic Kingdom

Our last day started out at Hollywood Studios and ended for one final time at the Magic Kingdom.  We ate at the Sci-Fi Diner.  It was such a fun atmosphere and the food was delicious.  This was our favorite meal.

Some of us took the little kids to the Disney Junior show.  I think Mia was a combination of tired and really excited.  The result was pretty funny.  She loved the show and had the time of her life dancing and running around crazy.  I think ten days of being held in lines finally caught up to her and she really let loose.

This face pretty much sums it up.

There was finally a shorter line and Mia was able to meet both Pooh and Tiger.  She loved meeting them.  She was a little unsure about Tiger but ran right into Pooh's arms when it was her turn.

We also got to meet Ariel.  She was so star struck.  It was adorable.

Day 11 - Going home

Just barely, but we made it to the end of our trip.  We got a few shots of the hotel before we left.  We stayed at the Pop Century.  It was such a fun and especially convenient place to stay.

The flight home was a little rougher than the flight there.  It was a longer flight and we were all very tired.  I was super excited when Mia fell asleep as soon as the plane took off.  Unfortunately it only lasted about an hour.  It didn't help that the lady in front of us suddenly slammed her chair back into us.  Luckily we made it.  I think it took us a full week to recover and get some energy back again.  It was an exhausting vacation in a lot of ways.  I love looking back on our many pictures to remind me it was worth it!
